The Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Autism and Learning Disabilities - Train the Facilitator is designed for professionals who wish to become certified trainer, enabling them to deliver this essential training to others. This comprehensive two-day course provides participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to effectively teach the government-recommended curriculum, along with understanding the criteria required for delivery This Facilitator course is co-trained alongside people with lived experience, ensuring that the critical insights and strategies co-created by individuals with lived experience are passed on accurately and effectively. By attending, you will help expand the reach of this vital training across Health & Social Care, fostering more inclusive and supportive environments. We will cover all content delivered within the 1 day course and teach the facilitators how this should be trained and be prepared for questions that may be received, we will: - Review the core content of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Autism and Learning Disabilities, including key concepts around autism, learning disabilities, person-centred care, and effective communication. - Develop teaching skills to deliver engaging and empathetic training sessions. - Learn best practices for facilitating group discussions, handling questions, and creating a supportive learning environment. - Understand the role of a trainer in maintaining the integrity and standardisation of the curriculum. - Receive coaching on managing diverse groups, managing diverse groups, ensuring accessibility, and providing support during sensitive discussions. To attend this training, participants must first complete the free eLearning on eLearning for Healthcare and present a certificate of completion. This prerequisite ensures a foundational understanding before joining the in-depth Tier 2 training.
