Service Description

Paediatric First Aid (Children & Babies) course is aimed at parents, carers, teachers and early years practitioners that are responsible for the safety and well-being of children, this course fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, in this training we will cover many subjects from basic life support and other illnesses. This course covers a range of subjects including:- • Responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider • First Aid Kits • CPR • Use of AED (Defib / Defibrillator) • Recovery Position • Choking • Wounds and Bleeding • Burns • Shock • Epilepsy • Febrile Convulsions • Diabetic Emergencies • Meningitis • Allergic Reactions • Anaphylaxis • Asthma • Foreign Bodies • Head Injuries • Neck Injuries • Back Injuries • Electrical Incidents Time: 2 Days (12 Hours) Certificate: Valid for 3 Years (recommended annual refresher) Please select a date that you would prefer to have (this can be changed after) All bookings are subject to confirmation. Some other organisations may call this: Children First Aid, Child CPR, School First Aid, Basic First Aid for Schools, Parent First Aid. * When booking please book the first day you would like the course to take place, we will be in touch to plan the additional days required.
