OpenDoc: policies written by health and social care experts

Northbrook is part of the OpenDoc expert panel

We have joined the OpenDoc team as one of the sector experts contributing to their growing library of policies and procedures. Our role is to help review, shape and add to the documents that underpin safe, well led care.

Being part of the panel means the frontline experience we build up through our training and consultancy work feeds directly into the policies other providers rely on, and we can point the services we support to a trusted, free resource with confidence.

More than 100 experts in health and social care

What is OpenDoc

Expert written policies, free for every provider

Good policy is the backbone of safe care, but building and maintaining a full library takes time and specialist knowledge that many services do not have in house. OpenDoc brings that expertise together in one place, so any provider can access up to date, sector reviewed documents without a licence fee.

Northbrook signposts OpenDoc as part of our care consultancy work because it genuinely helps the services we support get the fundamentals right.

Who writes the policies

More than 100 sector leads and specialists

Every policy is drafted and peer reviewed by named contributors from across the health and social care sector, including clinical leads, registered managers, safeguarding specialists and quality reviewers. Documents are kept current as guidance and regulation evolve.
