I have always loved to support others to learn, grow and develop. Over the past few months, I’ve been working alongside a brilliant local care agency, supporting them with regular ongoing consultancy. One of our main focuses has been getting ready for CQC registration. Now, the this organisation has been doing things the right way for years. ⭐ Strong relationships. ⭐ High-quality temporary staffing. ⭐ A real commitment to training. ⭐ Working in a way that always aligned with CQC standards and frameworks. But like so many, there was that doubt… “Am I actually ready?” The owner/director had put this off for a long time. Not because she wasn’t capable… but because she didn’t quite believe she was. Fast forward to last week… ✅ CQC registration approved ✅ Officially a registered care provider An incredible achievement 👏 And here’s the honest bit… I didn’t do a huge amount. We worked through the documentation together. We prepared for the interviews. I gave guidance and a few nudges in the right direction. We looked at policy centres. But the knowledge? The experience? The foundations? - They were already there. Consultancy and business support isn’t about having all the answers… It’s about helping people open doors they once thought were locked, and showing them they’ve had the keys all along. Sometimes people just need someone to remind them that they can. I’m proud to have played a part in this journey. Now the exciting part begins… Supporting the next steps, growing the business, exploring local authority opportunities, and continuing to build a service that genuinely makes a difference.
